Ged Kennett

Ged and his team work at Nettlecombe, a small country estate on the edge of Exmoor in Southwest England. He has been metalworking since 1995 and started his own business in 1997. After a few years of making fine hand-forged domestic ironwork, Ged discovered a need for beautifully designed cabinet fittings. He has been concentrating on handles ever since.

Originally working on his own in a small workshop, his business steadily grew. Ged now has two workshops full of beautiful old machinery, two full-time assistants, and regular help with admin and packing. In 2009 he formed Contemporary Metals Ltd, utilizing local metalworkers to produce various components. Together, this team is committed to creating fittings of the highest quality in both design and craftsmanship.
